I am an artist and a spiritual seeker, and I enjoy the many ways in which these two areas of my life enrich and inform one another. In my art, I explore ways to express emotional and spiritual energies, expecially in my drawing and jewelry design.

As with most children, my first artistic explorations were with crayons--meticulous circles all over the page at 18 months old. Over the years, I also played with charcoal, colored pencils, computers, and beads and learned the ways in which color, line and form combine to give visual expression to universal energies.

In high school, I added words to this mix and became fascinated with the alchemy of interaction between artwork, design and text. In college, I wrote my own degree plan combining Fine Art, Design Communication, Journalism, and Technical Writing into a custom bachelor's program that brought the importance of graceful integration of words and design into sharp focus.

I worked as a graphic artist for 18 years. I enjoyed creating everything from logos, identity systems, and business materials to magazine and book designs, illustrations, and web sites. Recently I moved away from commerical art to focus my creative energy on what I think of as "free" art--artwork created for my own enjoyment rather than for a commercial client.

Along my spiritual path I received the Sekhem-Seichim-Reiki Master Teacher attunement from Diane Ruth Shewmaker in the spring of 1999. I have enjoyed sharing this energy and knowledge with others in classes and healing sessions. I'm also a psychic reader and Rune master, and I consider my energetic healing and spiritual counseling work to be among the most rewarding and enjoyable parts of my life.
